Apex Shears and Knives are manufactured to suit each application and customer design. They are available in a wide range of standard and proprietary chemistries suitable for either hot or cold work. They deliver the correct combination of toughness, shock resistance, and edge-holding characteristics required for each application.

Knives are available in a wide range of materials and are selected and heat treated to match the demands of line environmental conditions, strip characteristics, and shear design.

Apex Shears manufactures Coil Slitting Cutters & Allied Tooling for slitting HR & CR strips of MS, SS, and Brass, Copper or any other ferrous/nonferrous metal. Slitting Cutters made from AISI D2, D3, Hot Die or Shock Resistant Steel up to 1000 mm diameter and other dimensions as per your drawings.

The cutters can be supplied in precision and extra precision grades depending on their application. Thickness tolerances made up to 0.002 mm, extra precision parallelism and flatness. Knife face ground finish upto 0.2 Ra. Suitable for slitting nonferrous metal like aluminum & brass as well as ferrous metal materials like mild steel CRGO, CRNGO, & stainless steels. Range from 0.1 mm to 16 mm thick strip. Foil slitting cutter for foil thickness <0.1 mm. We can also supply Carbide Slitters for CRGO/Foil.

We are are also manufacturer and suppliers of various components used in slitting line tooling that are used in slitting cutting process of various metals and sheets. The components of slitting line tooling manufactured by us are used  in various Slitting Line tooling solutions which are as follows :

SEPERATOR DISCS: We offer superior high performance and friction resistant Separator Discs with our without Taper for Overarms, Tensions Stands, Recoiler stands, Underarms, Entry Pit and Exit Pit Rollers.

We also manufacture non-metal separator disks from phenolic and nylon for special purpose applications.

METAL SPACERS: manufacturer and supplier of a wide range of metallic spacer/ washer used in slitting line tooling. These metal spacers are widely used in as a important component of slitting line tooling for cutting and trimming of different metals and alloys. Spacers are manufactured from wide range of premium quality raw material for ensuring the uniform hardness in Metal Spacers. The precision heat treatment process confirms the longer runs; high-quality slit edges and decreased regrind cycles.

RUBBER SPACERS: We offer solid Neoprene/Nitrile/NBR/Polyurethane Spacers to be mounted on customers’ existing metal spacers. This allows the customer to replace only the worn out rubber component and reuse his existing metal spacers for optimum cost benefit ratio.

RUBBERIZED SPACERS: Rubber coated metal spacers also called as rubberized spacer are Manufactured from carefully selected materials and quality heat treated to ensure best performance from in slitting line tooling operation. The rubber coated metal spacer (rubberized spacers can sustain all wear and tear in slitting line tooling operation for heavy dute operations of a slitting line tooling. High quality of selection of raw material provides high quality finished product of rubberized spacer / rubber coated metal spacers which enables it to be used in diversified application to perform a trouble-free operation.

We offer Rubberized Metal Spacers bonded with either NBR/Neoprene Synthetic Rubber which are Heat & Expansion Resistant or with Polyurethane (PU) Rubber for long life and performance.

NYLON SPACERS: We offer Spacers made from Nylon 6 for Overarm and Underarm Operations for the Slitting Line. These spacers offer suitable performance and high heat & friction resistance.

SHIMS: Manufacturer of metallic shims and gasket which has a wide range of application as a component in various machines. Metal shims are made of high quality stainless steel grade of steel to provide a long life and with no chip off due to wear and tear. stainless steel shims are available in various size and shapes and we maintain a huge inventory for off the shelf stainless steel shims supplies to our customers.

We also offer PVC/Plastic Shims with very close tolerances for those customers who require the same. Thicknesses range from 0.1mm to 1.0mm.

FINS: We offer Fins made from High Speed Steel, High Carbon High Chrome Steels or Tool Steels for those pipe mills that require Fins to be made accurately with proper root diameter grinding for accurate performance and angles matching their rolls.
